Conference organised by Cambridge University Technology and Enterprise Club (CUTEC). The theme of this year's conference is "Commercialising Early-Stage Technologies" and includes a session on stem cell technologies with speakers such as Professor Chris Mason and Dr Cathy Prescott.

7 June 2007: London Regenerative Medicine Network - June Meeting

This meeting covers the whole area of regenerative medicine from ethics of best practice for human embryonic stem cell derivation, through to stem cell commercial translation and regulation. This is the final meeting of the 2006-2007 session of network events and will appropriately finish with a Keynote from the 'Godfather' of regenerative medicine, Dr. Paul Kemp with his predictions for the future. Since this meeting also coincides with the 2nd Birthday of the LRMN, there will be a sparkling wine buffet afterwards!

Venue: Guy's Hospital Campus of King's College London at London Bridge - Lecture Theatre 2, New Hunt's House.

19 June 2007: Horizon: Foodomics? Why we eat what we eat and what's new on the Menu

What motivates our choice of foods? What is the role of food in health related issues such as obesity? How will research into the science of food challenge our basic understanding of what we eat? These are just some of the questions that will be addressed by leading experts from a range of disciplines at June’s Horizon Seminar. This Seminar will focus on four key areas of food related research: health; nutrition; food technology; and the environmental and social aspects of food.

This talk is part of the Horizon: Foodomics? Why we eat What we eat and What's new on the Menu series.
