Australian support for therapeutic cloning continues

New South Wales, the most populous of Australia’s states, has voted 65 to 26 in favour of new legislation to permit the use of cloned human embryos for stem cell research. NSW is the second of the Australian states to ratify the Stem Cell Research Bill, which requires support from all states to become law (see news story).
