Healthcare Challenges in the Gulf Region

This workshop forms part of the 2011 Gulf Research Meeting, to be held in Cambridge, UK, from 6-9 July.

The PHG Foundation's focus on biomedical innovation and global health, and our long-standing experience as knowledge brokers in this area, means that we are delighted to be co-leading this strand of the meeting, as part of the overall aim of promoting scholarly and academic exchange among experts.

Our current Framework for Action on Birth Defects programme is also relevant, including development of a new online toolkit to help countries evaluate their health needs with respect to inherited (congenital) birth defects and plan tailored services to meet them.

Papers are sought from healthcare experts, clinicians and academics on a wide range of relevant topics, by 28th February 2011. More information.
