Genetic tests

Ethical and legal issues in the clinical use of genetic tests and other predictive molecular biomarkers

International law and regulation

• A review and written report on public international law and guidance as it relates to human biomedical science
• A review and written report on EC legislation and regulation relating to human biomedical science
• A paper on the application of international and EC law to genetic testing in the EC, with a particular focus on the development of policy in Britain

Part of the aim of the above projects will be to determine which other organisations and individuals should be consulted or otherwise involved, and who the key audiences are. It is hoped that an additional outcome will be the development and expansion of European and international networks related to law and health.
