Dr Chris Rands

Project Manager (Science)

Chris has a scientific background, having previously completed a BSc degree in Biological Sciences at the University of Sussex, followed by a DPhil (PhD) in computational biology at the University of Oxford, working within the MRC Functional Genomics Unit. He also has policy experience from time spent examining genomics issues at the World Health Organization (WHO). He now provides research support to Foundation projects, focusing on various aspects of genomics and bioinformatics relevant to health, including pathogen genomics in the context of infectious diseases.

Chris provides support for a variety of projects at PHGF, including infectious disease genomics.
